Q: How do I return something? 

A: We want you to love shopping with us, so if you need to make a return or exchange that’s no problem. We’ve made it as easy as possible. Simply read our returns and exchange information below:
How to make a return:


1. Read our 'return rules' in our Returns section. 


2. Complete the returns form found in your order. If you’ve lost your form, you can request a new one by email. 


3. Package your returns up and send it to the following address:

4. Ensure you keep a ‘proof of postage’ as we do not accept responsibility for items lost in transit. Where you are returning an item because it is faulty we will need to see a copy of your proof of postage in order to refund you the return postage costs.

RETURN RULES
   •   You have 14 days from the date of receipt to return any unwanted item(s) to us for an exchange, refund or credit note. This includes full priced and sale items.
   •   Returns are only accepted providing the items are unused, in a resalable condition, with all tags attached and with the original packaging in good condition. Returns that do not meet our policy will not be accepted and will be sent back to you.
   •   Goods are returned to Cottage in the Hills at your own expense.
   •   Returns are processed within 5-7 working days from when they arrive back to the warehouse and will be made to the original payment method.
   •   Shipping is complimentary on your first exchanges; however, if you are based outside the UK you may need to pay taxes and duties on this.
   •   Once the refund has been processed, any funds due should appear on your bank statement within 5-10 working days (Please note: refund times are dictated by the card issuers and are outside our control).
   •   We hope our customers always have a positive shopping experience with us, but on the rare occurrence you have received a faulty or incorrect item, please email customerservice@cottageinthehills.com or call us on 01981 500939 to discuss how to proceed.
   •   Personalised items cannot be exchanged or refunded unless they are faulty.
   •   Where a discount has been applied for a multiple purchase (e.g. Buy 2 and get 15% off), the discount will no longer apply if returning only part of that multiple purchase.
   •   If an item is returned to us outside of the fourteen day time frame or is in a non re saleable condition a credit note will only be issued at the discretion of Cottage in the Hills.
You have a right to cancel your order within 14 working days of receiving your purchase. This seven day period begins the day after you receive the items from us. Please notify us in writing within 14 days that you wish to cancel your order and that you intend to return the item(s) and we will be happy to offer you a full refund including any standard delivery charge.
   •   This does not affect your statutory rights.

International Returns
Should you wish to return a non faulty item from outside of the UK, excluding the Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Northern Ireland, you will be responsible for the return.
